The group has benefitted to the tune of £115.425 from the Big Lottery Reaching Communities grant to expand its befrienders scheme over the next five years. With rural post offices closing and bus services being axed more and more elderly people are becoming isolated and this scheme can now grow to meet demand with more volunteers able to respond to the need lotto results.
The reaching Communities scheme aims to respond to a problem where something needs to change and will involve those who benefit in planning and running the project. It aims to give people better chances, help build stronger communities, improved environments and healthier more active people lottery checker.
The scheme has two strands, funding for projects between £10,000and £50,000 and funding for buildings between £100,000 and £500,000. Non profit making, voluntary or community organisations can apply for funding so it could be a project close to your heart and community receiving the next grant euro millions results.
